On Thursday 2nd of February the Student Enterprise Awards Regional Final took place in St Augustines Dungarvan. The groups in attendance from Ard Scoil na nDeise were Ellen Power and Ciara Kelly with Classy Calendars, Eleanor Walsh, Aoife Murphy, Emma Casey and Chloe Keane with their enterprise “Pluma Hair Accessories”, Davina Muntjewerff, Angela McIntosh and Jessica Bannon with “Klass Kalendars”, Tara Healy, Evie McGrath, Niamh Kiely, Layla Quarry and Emma Power with “The Corner” and Laura Connors, Dearbhla Whelan and Emma Queally with their mini company “Dicelets”.

These groups had got through to this round as a result of the School Final, which followed nine weeks of the Student Enterprise Module run by the school. Five other schools were present and everyone had put in a great effort into their displays. Each enterprise was judged by three different judges from the County Enterprise Board. “Pluma Hair Accessories” received a cash prize as second runners up in the competition. It was a great day for all involved.

Mid-term break ski trip

As we look forward to the mid-term break next weekend, some TY students are particularly excited as they will be travelling to Bulgaria for their Skiing trip. We’re sure that they will have an excellent time and we look forward to seeing all the photographs.
